The most recent update of Windows 10 seems to have caused no small inconvenience to those who use networked printers . Reports have rained in droves regarding the appearance of a BSoD (Blue Screen of Death) when trying to print, this following the latest update released by Microsoft for the operating system. How to solve?

Microsoft recently released two new cumulative security updates for Windows 10, called  KB5000802 and KB5000808 . Apparently, according to the numerous reports appeared in the main forums and on Reddit , these updates would lead to the crash of the operating system resulting in the appearance of a BSoD when trying to send prints to devices connected to the network.

The updates in question are part of the company’s long-awaited periodic appointment called Patch Tuesday and which provides for the release of the latest security patches. KB5000802 and KB5000808 are part of the March 2021 Patch Tuesday .

The error that appears on the screen after Windows 10 crashes is “ APC_INDEX_MISMATCH for win32kfull.sys “, as reported by many system administrators on Reddit . Some of the printer brands known to be affected by the problem with Windows include Kyocera , Ricoh, and Dymo .

How to fix win32kfull.sys crash when printing?

There isn’t much you can do about the crash. Microsoft hasn’t made any official statements about it yet, and updating printer drivers hasn’t solved the problem.

One of the only solutions found effective lies in uninstalling the offending security updates . To uninstall the updates in question, follow these steps:

• Open a terminal (Cmd, Command Prompt)
• Enter the command ” wusa / uninstall / kb: 5000802 ” without quotes and then press Enter
• The command ” wusa / uninstall / kb: 5000808 ” without quotes followed by pressing Enter will also remove the second update
